Summer arrived this past weekend, and judging by the slow movement around the VAVi office on Monday, I can guarantee everyone celebrated the summer solstice in style.
The one-two combo of The Local's 'Crawl to the Park' followed by the Summer Kick Off Party at The Fleetwood was definitely a great way to ring in the summertime. For those of you that didn't make it out, blue shirts from the crawl took over the Gaslamp. It was quite a sight to see!
Well, the good times keep rolling, and this week we have even more lined up. We're having our first summer RECESS party back at The Tap Room in Pacific Beach on Thursday, June 26 - starting at 6pm. Guests can expect 20% off all food, $2 off appetizers, $3 pints and house wines, $10 wine bottles, and $11 pitchers.
For those of you that made it to the first RECESS at The Tap Room, you may remember the American Gladiator style jousting. Even though it was a blast, cooler heads prevail - we've decided that beer and fighting combo isn't quite as fun as beer and a solid game of flip cup. This is the third RECESS in a row where we've had a flip cup tournament, and there is some fierce competition. Come on down this Thursday and see if you have what it takes.
Can't make it Thursday? Join us for our Human Pacman event at the Wavehouse on Friday morning - June 27. Yes, you heard that right, human pacman. AJ's Playhouse and Channel 93.3 will be broadcasting live, and you're all welcome to watch the hilarity. Trust me on this one, it's going to be absolutely ridiculous and well worth coming out from 7 to 10am.
