San Diego natives and transplants alike know that beach culture is a largely predominant factor in our daily lives. Whether it’s surfing or swimming, sunbathing or skim boarding, the waves and the sand are undoubtedly the heart and soul of America’s Finest City.
This summer, local surf celebrities, community activists and social entrepreneurs, including Rob Machado and Kassia Meador will be honored for the work they do in the community by kicking off the Warrior Up Media Campaign on Tuesday, August 10th hosted by San Clemente-based company, Sambazon.
Sambazon’s founders, Ryan and Jeremy Black, are launching their new campaign in San Diego as it is the flagship city for their very first box of Sambazon Acai juice delivered back in 2001. Not to mention, they have found that San Diego city is packed with an array of healthy minded, socially conscious individuals that embody the Sambazon way of life, so they just couldn’t resist.
Warrior Up is slated to show off the extraordinary efforts of some of San Diego’s favorite Warriors including local, active sports stars and do-gooders such as surf deities Rob Machado and Kassia Meador, pro-skateboarder Bob Burnquist, modern yogini Seane Corn, pro-mountain biker Hans Rey and many more.
