What would you do for $10 million dollars?
I’m guessing, you’d do quite a lot—and that’s what the producers of America’s newest reality TV show, “Tontine” are betting on. $10 million is the largest cash prize in the history of reality television. Intrigued? Then get thee to Otay Ranch Town Center on Saturday, August 11th, for the San Diego auditions.
“Tontine” is designed to be the ultimate reality TV show, containing elements from “Survivor”, “The Amazing Race”, and “Beauty and the Geek”—just kidding on that last one. The Tontine trek for ten mil will span 100 days and all seven continents. While the show will air on a major network, the network’s name hasn’t yet been revealed.
There’s just one catch (actually, there’s probably countless catches, but this is the one that disturbs me the most): Tontine contestants must give up their life savings to be on the show. In the words of the guy I heard on the radio this morning, “This is the only reality show where people actually have something to lose.”
You must be over 21, and ridiculously intelligent and physically fit to apply.
