Each year, hundreds flock to the World of Wine weekend taking place across the 35,000 rolling acres and 35 member wineries in Temecula Valley. The two-day event transports visitors to a wine-soaked paradise, where barrels are opened and cuisine is cooked up on a self-guided tour.
Equipped with a map of the region and a souvenir glass, guests will be served barrel, tank and bottle samplings from the large span of wineries in the Temecula region and fill up with food samples along the way. Ready for a taste? The 23rd annual World of Wine event, or simply, WoW, returns March 2nd and 3rd. Cellar doors will open for the tasting affair from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.
Two New Events: This year, World of Wine will include exclusive wine and dine events to pair with the self-guided tour. Guests can purchase tickets to attend the Thornton Winery Saturday Night Winemaker Dinner, where veteran winemaker David Vergari and winery owner Steve Thornton host a four-course dinner paired with Thornton wines. Dishes include Fennel Salami, Slow Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs and an Old Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake. Cougar Winery is also offering an exclusive new package for Sunday early birds. This morning stroll and breakfast includes a behind-the-scenes vineyard and production tour along with a glass of Cougar bubbly and continental breakfast. Find ticketing information for these packages online.
Stay and Play: To enjoy the ultimate staycation in Temecula, WoW has partnered with transportation companies to provide packages that include tickets to the WoW event and rides to and from the wineries. Guests can contact The Grapeline Wine Country Shuttle, Executive VIP Shuttle, Sunset Limousines or West Coast Chauffeur & Transportation for more information. WoW has also partnered with area hotels to offer a place to rest your head between two long days of drinking. Those include The Inn at Europa Village and South Coast Winery Resort & Spa.
