Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa on Mission Bay is celebrating a milestone in the hospitality industry. After 50 years of accommodating world travelers and lavish-living locals on the bay front, this local landmark remains alive and thriving.

In recognition of the five decades as a must-stay property in our community, the award-winning resort and spa is launching exclusive 50th anniversary packages, promotions and events throughout the 2012 year.

For guests to experience Hilton San Diego's immense gratitude, the 50th Anniversary Package pampers with a $50 resort credit to be used in the Acqua Restaurant, Olive Lounge, Aroma Coffee House, Spa Brezza and toward bike rentals and water sports with a minimum two-night stay.

Toast to their success with a meal and drinks at Acqua, captured through the 50th Anniversary Prix Fixe Menu by executive chef Hermann Schaefer, served overlooking the bay and the pool. The extravagant selection includes Champagne Cocktail with Elderflower, Asparagus Salad Wrapped with Speck Stilton Cheese and Aged Balsamic, Lamb Carpaccio with Winter Squash, Pumpkin Seeds, Chestnut and Frisee, Five Spiced-Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Lobster Cream, Lemon Sorbet and more, all for just $50.

Spa Brezza, meanwhile, is offering 50% off specials to spoil their guests including 50% off a sugar scrub with any 50 minute massage, 50% off an eye treatment or brow wax with any 50 minute facial, 50% off a serenity soak with any 50 minute body treatment, 50% off a spa manicure with a purchase of a spa pedicure, and 50% off a cut and style with any hair color treatment. Want to remember what times were like when the property first launched? The resort's signature coffee shop, Aroma will also be offering coffee at 1962 prices on select days that will be announced through their social media outlets.

The property dates back to 1962 when it originally opened as Del Webb’s OceanHouse. Currently, the property is completing a $1.1 million renovation that includes high-speed internet expansion across resort grounds, upgraded 42” HD televisions in all guest rooms, and a new conference center that will match the contemporary architecture and design of the property’s Mediterranean ambiance.
