The Riviera: Stylish Palm Springs Refuge

Maybe it’s just me, but life is so hectic these days that I find myself in dire need of a vacation at least once a month. Sure, we all wish we could jet set off to Costa Rica or Bora Bora every time we need to clear our heads, but sadly, that isn’t always a realistic vacay craving.

Coming from a true San Diego vacation addict, trust me when I tell you that Palm Springs is the ultimate getaway destination for SoCal locals who need to feel a million miles away, without spending a million bucks. Circa 59 features red leather upholstered booths and chairs, backlit lattice cutouts, oversized crystal chandeliers and a spectacular outdoor setting dotted with glowing fireplaces. Favorite dinner starters range from Ahi Tuna Tartare with avocado, crab ceviche and black truffle dressing; to Citrus Braised Pork Belly with apple-mint cous cous, horseradish cream and orange gastrique; and Roasted Beets Salad with roasted red and golden beets, goat cheese, Meyer lemon and pecans. For your dinner entrée, enjoy Beef Tenderloin with Roquefort crust, confit potatoes, grilled asparagus and port wine demi; Portobello Ravioli with roasted corn cream, shisito pepper and dried cherries; or Pomegranate Molasses Baked Salmon with pomegranate molasses baste, lemon risotto and edamame – all available in half or full order.

After dinner, Riviera transforms into one of the hottest night spots in town, drawing crowds of locals and visitors to Starlite Lounge and Sidebar Lounge.
