Gaslamp Quarter Lamplighter Awards

The Gaslamp Quarter Association presents the 16th Annual Lamplighter Awards, celebrating the best downtown San Diego businesses, events and individuals, taking place on Monday, November 15th at the Omni San Diego Hotel. 

Every month it seems the Gaslamp Quarter welcomes a host of new restaurants, clubs, shops and hotels – making this central historic community one of the largest draws for tourism and local entertainment in all of San Diego County. And it only makes sense that in-the-know locals would get together once a year to praise the best of the best and give back to the neighborhood we love so much. 

This year’s Lamplighter Awards ceremony theme is Old Hollywood, and all guests are highly encouraged to dress in chic business attire or old Hollywood glam. The evening will being at 5pm with a cocktail reception and silent auction; followed by a sit-down three-course dinner, live auction, awards ceremony and live entertainment at 6:30pm; and the official after party at FLUXX will feature DJ Sid Vicious and a surprise live performance. 

As you schmooze with the best of downtown San Diego during cocktail hour, enjoy a host of appetizers provided by Bare Back Grill, Bice Ristorante, Red Pearl Kitchen, Urban Bar & Grill, The Melting Pot, The MerK Bistro. Make sure to fill up and have your head on straight so you can win some of these incredible live auction items as the sit-down dinner gets started. Prizes up for grabs include an On Field Experience at the San Diego Chargers vs. San Francisco 49ers game; VIP treatment, limo and bottle service for 20 at FLUXX; private rooftop soiree with hosted appetizers and cocktails for 50 at ALTITUDE Sky Lounge; and four 4-day passes to the sold-out 2011 Comic-Con.

Although the Lamplighter Awards is jam-packed with fun entertainment, the true star of the show is the Awards Ceremony. Lamplighter Award categories range from Best New Restaurant to Best New Nightclub, Favorite Spa or Salon, Favorite Casual Dining, Favorite Chef or Restaurateur, Favorite Entertainment, Favorite Promoter and many more.
