Here and Now: A Convention for New Year's Resolutions

On Saturday, January 16th, North Park’s Lafayette Hotel will host Here & Now, a New Year’s Resolution convention that will feature panel discussions, interactive zones, and exhibitor booths for individuals looking to make positive and healthy lifestyle changes.

Produced by Jon Block, creator of the music & arts event series Sight & Sound, the 2010 New Year’s Eve Masquerade headlined by Delta Spirit at Birch North Park Theatre, and the fashion & art experience Love Struck at La Jolla Playhouse, Here & Now will powerfully kick start individuals towards the achievement of their 2011 goals. 

“I’m thrilled to bring my arts festival background to shake up the self-help format,” said Block.  “Here & Now is a direct result of my own recent self-examination, becoming accountable for everything in my life.  Accountability is a major theme for this event.  And we are very fortunate to have so many resources in San Diego to support us.”

Dedicated to bringing personal growth and accountability into the mainstream, this exciting convention will be playfully arranged into various areas of life including career, romance, health, spirituality, fitness and hobbies. Event guests will receive countless giveaways and steep discounts to the exhibitors’ unique services. Guests will also enjoy expert panel discussions, gaining insights into new trends and breakthroughs; engage in interactive exhibitions including Alternative Healing Network, California Smokers Hotline, and Landmark Education; and even have the opportunity to partake in side-stage demonstrations of fitness and yoga. 

Here & Now is an all-ages event and will open at 11am and will run until 5pm on Saturday, January 16th.  Admission is $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
