Tucked away above Old Town rests the historic and charming neighborhood of Mission Hills. More than just a central location in the heart of San Diego, the prosperous residential neighborhood boasts its own artistic flair through the work of local artists, as well as some of San Diego’s famous architects.
Mission Hills has long sustained as a gem in the San Diego arts and culture scene. With an active calendar of community events, the residents within are as connected as they are welcoming. On Dec. 3rd, Mission Hills is continuing their tradition of gathering at the Holiday Neighborhood Get Together, held at Espresso Mio.
The occasion will be abundant with paintings from local artists Mark Fehlman and Paul Dean. From 4-7pm, the public is invited to view and purchase the works in an effort to benefit the Mission Hills Concerts in the Park Series of 2012. Each summer, Concerts in the Park brings together local musicians for ongoing free shows, and it continues to withstand as one of the most beloved traditions in Mission Hills. It’s through the help of local business owners and active members of the community that these annual events can continue to celebrate the area.
Paintings on exhibit will showcase the French Countryside, including recent works from artist Paul Dean's annual fall trip to France. Half of all the proceeds will be donated to Concerts in the Park 2012.
