Look outside. It’s a beautiful day for a picnic, isn’t it? Raid the fridge, fix some sandwiches, grab a blanket, and head out to Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma, home of the most dramatic bay and harbor view in all of San Diego. Established in 1913, the monument commemorates Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo's voyage of discovery. The Pacific Ocean, the Cuyamaca mountains, and the supine hump of Mexico can all be seen from the scenic national park. What a way to work up an appetite!
