The Gaslamp Quarter is San Diego’s
epicenter for entertainment, so it’s only natural that the yearly
San Diego Film Festival would be held in the lively district.
The five-day celebration showcases over
75 American and international feature, documentary and short films,
and features intimate gatherings with filmmakers and celebrities,
edifying industry workshops — including the American Screenwriters
Association's annual conference — and five nights of red
carpet-style shindigs at venues like Stingaree, Xavier’s Bar &
Grill, Belo, Confidential, and House of Blues.
The festival has won many industry and
regional awards, including Best Beach Fest, Best Party Fest, Best
Film Fest, and one of the country's Top 10 Film Festival Vacations.
This year’s event, held September
27th to October 1st, celebrates the five-year
anniversary of the festival and as a result will be the biggest one
yet.
Admission
ranges from $50 for a Screening Pass to $300 for an all-inclusive VIP
Pass.
