Fatality: A parolee was shot and killed in the Wine Country area after an eight-mile pursuit was identified on Saturday as Timothy Joseph McCall. McCall had been driving a Ford F-150 with stolen plates when authorities initially attempted to stop the truck. A deputy near a winery exit shot and killed McCall as he accelerated the truck towards the
deputy.
Construction: A detailed analysis of how the $140 million French Valley Parkway project will affect the environment was released on Wednesday. The parkway project features two miles-long onramps that will run parallel to the congested stretch on Interstate 1 – from Winchester Road to the Interstate 215 split – to alleviate “weave movement” of traffic on northbound and southbound sides of the 15
