Side Bar throws an early morning bash on New Year’s Day every year. For party animals that don’t want to waste any precious hours sleeping, rally the troops and pack into Side Bar at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Dance music and drink specials will last ‘til 10 a.m. This Six/Ten morning edition is a winter take on Side Bar’s popular Five/Ten summer evening series. Doors open at 6 a.m.

New Year’s Day Extravaganza at GuestHouse Day Club

Every year Fortune 421 throws a raging New Year’s Day party at Ivy Rooftop at the Andaz Hotel. Fortune’s 2013 Resolution Day Party will feature headliners JJ Flores and Chris Clouse, with supporting sets by DJs G*Roy, Sanjay, Brady Spear, Panda, J-Sin, Mike Remedy and Beefam. Hop in the rooftop pool, or chill in a chaise lounge with a cocktail in hand. Doors open at 12 p.m. Tickets are $25+.

New Year’s Day Celebration at Firehouse

This beach-side restaurant and lounge is kicking off 2013 with a daytime party on the rooftop. Wake up and cruise to Firehouse to keep the celebration going with beats by DJs Slowland, Decon and Cheyenne Giles. And hangover-helper drink specials will be on tap, including $16 bottles of bubbly and $150 bottles of vodka. Doors open at 9 a.m. No cover charge.
