Party Time: Bar West Anniversary Weekend

As new San Diego restaurants and clubs come and go, some venues stand the test of time and continue to top our list of local favorites. Four years ago, Bar West introduced us beach-lovin’ locals to the upscale transformation of nightlife at the beach and we couldn’t have been more thrilled.

As the first of its kind, Bar West (or Weezy as the regulars like to call it) continues to be the industry leader for swanky beach-side nightlife. Although the décor and entertainment reflect that of a downtown club, Bar West keeps it real with a chill and casual attitude in an upscale setting.

This past year, Bar West has hosted some seriously kickass parties with celebrities including Chris Mintz-Plasse, AKA McLovin of “Superbad”; rappers Dirt Nasty and Andre Legacy; the man behind TheDirty.com, Nik Richie; Old School Hip Hop rapper, Tone-Loc; sizzling hot Playmate Heather Rae Young; the stars of MTV’s hit reality show “The Hills”; and the “Toot It & Boot It” hip hop superstar, YG. Just to name a few…

Haaaaaay! Let’s partay!  As an appreciative thank you to all the Weezy friends and frequents who have made this beachside nightclub what it is today, Bar West  is celebrating its 4 Year Anniversary with a weekend-long event from April 21st through 24th. Get ready for an action-packed weekend with tons of free giveaways, Benson Westley III getting Hank Moody wild – keep an eye on your girlfriends because that beast is one slippery snake! – a stylish fashion show by Sun Diego, the Bar West Girls looking smokin’ hot and a whole lotta sparklers. BOOM!

Because this is going to be one hell of disorderly and out of control weekend, we suggest you sufficiently coat your stomach before fist-pumping the night away and head in early for Bar West’s Half-Off Happy Hour. Hooking you up with a taste of the good life from 6pm-10pm, Half-Off Happy Hour features half-price premium cocktails (yep, that means you can get loose with the Goose and party hardy with Patron!), beer and wine, half-off wings and pizzas, and 2-for-$5 sliders. Yummmmay!

Join us as we rage with one of our tried and true venues and celebrate four years of Sun Down, Music Up! Bar West kicks off the anniversary weekend on Thursday, April 21st with DJhere, featuring sounds by Mikey Beats, $2 drinks from 8pm to 10:30pm, $5 drinks from 10:30pm until close, $6 red bull cocktail, and $150 bottle specials. Continue the party spirit on Friday, April 22nd with DTF Friday featuring no cover all night long, $5 Absolut cocktails and $200 Absolut bottles. On Saturday, April 23rd, party with the boys of Night Access featuring sounds by Mac Luv, plus $5 Skyy drinks and $200 Skyy bottles all night long. When spring fever hits hard, you know Industry Sundays at Bar West are all the rage, and this weekend is slated to surpass all expectations. On Sunday, April 24th, throw back $6 premium cocktails, $5 drinks and $200 Ketel bottles.
