Move over Mammoth, Big Bear, and Heavenly; snowboarding is coming straight to Mission Beach. Sun Diego Boardshop's third annual Beanies and Bikinis event is blowing back into San Diego November 24, 2007, bringing with it 22 tons of fresh, snow-white powder.

Forget the bunny slopes, top snowboarding professionals and amateurs will tear it up on the three-story rail structure built in the shadow of the Giant Dipper Roller Coast at Belmont Park in Mission Beach. Watch as they compete for a piece of the $25,000 prize purse in both the snowboard competition and best trick contest.

Forget gas money and lift tickets; this San Diego event is totally free and open to the public. Even better, Matix Clothing, DC Footwear, Electric Eyewear Transworld Snowboarding Magazine, and Ride Snowboards will be giving away a ton of free gear to the eager masses.

When things start to cool down on the slopes, head over to the official after party at The Wave House. Things heat up with hot babes competing in the Miss Sun Diego 2008 Bikini Contest. Sun Diego hosts the event with $2,500 in prizes up for grabs.
The 21-and-over party will also feature guest musical performances by DJ BWILD and reggae group One Drop.

Beanies and Bikinis kicks off at 3pm by blowing 22 tons of snow onto the snowboard ramp. The actual competition starts at 4pm and lasts until 7pm, followed by announcing and awarding the champions. The Wave House After Party gets going at 8pm.
