DiscoverSD Presents Ritual Thursday at Stingaree on June 17

Since 2005, Stingaree has been the go-to San Diego nightclub for in-the-know locals and curious newbies alike. The gleaming mega-club is the preferred place San Diego’s sought-after go to be seen, specifically to be seen spending gobs of money while indulging in a taste of the good life.

Two vodka sodas and a tip at Sting costs nearly what a bottle of the same poison would at the store, but of course, you’re not paying for the cocktail – you’re paying for the ambiance, and what an ambiance this swanky super-club exudes. From celebrity appearances by Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West to in-club musical performances by the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, and LMFAO, and the three glamorous levels of sheer sexiness, it’s more than apparent that Stingaree is literally hot enough to sting.

Over the course of the past five years, it’s obvious that Stingaree has been San Diego’s reigning nocturnal hotspot, serving up sex appeal and swanky style on a silver platter. Now that summer has arrived, I think it’s time to change things up a bit. But rather than adopting a new go-to spot this sultry season, why not stick with what we know?

Your summer is about to get hotter than ever before. Stingaree has officially unveiled its first major rooftop redesign, and now invites local party-goers to embrace the way of Buddha at the new Ritual Thursdays.

For those who have yet to experience the swanky sex appeal of Ritual, the new Davis Krumins-designed rooftop greets guests with two 16-foot tall, antique Buddha statues. Elevated VIP cabanas now sit on a raised six-inch wood platform and are seen through shades of blue, green and cream, adding a playful juxtaposition to the cabana’s earthy hues. VIP vision is granted by stratus shaped Thai woven bamboo lighting pendants and hand strung Capiz shell chandeliers. And that’s only the beginning…

To top if off, Stingaree has recently introduced a mix of fresh, new summer cocktails such as the Brazilian Kiss, a refreshing blend of Oronoco rum, ginger ale and Sprite, shaken up with juicy oranges and limes. The Sparkling Saketini, complete with vodka, sparkling sake, muddled strawberries and garnished with dried dragon fruit lets you experience a taste of true enlightenment, and the ultra-modern Basil Grape Martini, a juicy blend of Ciroc, Cointreau, Hpnotiq, lemonade, muddled grapes, and basil leaves is the perfect drink to have in hand for a night out with the girls.
