FLUXX Gets Chilled: Explore the Pole

While you won’t find anyone complaining about warm winter weather in San Diego, we locals do crave a taste of the seasons to get us in the holiday spirit. What if we could have one piercing cold night filled with extreme snow storms, followed by a clear and sunny 70-degree day? Leave it up to San Diego’s newest super-club to present the best of both worlds on a silver platter … err, silver pole, that is.

Kicking off with DJ Cobra on Black Friday, prepare to “explore the pole” as FLUXX gets Chilled.

We kicked off the summer by letting our inner party animals loose during Primal nights and we got seriously FLUXXed up this fall as we abandoned inhibitions during Mysterium. Although this super club is a guaranteed great time, there’s no telling what you’re going to get.

By definition FLUXX is a club of constant change, and after nine months of evolving themes, we definitely grasp the concept. 

FLUXX boasts a new theme every six weeks. Far beyond a themed party, FLUXX transforms the entire club to reflect the current theme, including employee costumes, entertainment choices, and every last detail of décor. As we blow out the Mysterium candles and lay our coffins to eternal rest, we ride FLUXX’s new theme into the winter season. I hope you packed your earmuffs, because you’re about to witness San Diego’s first snow storm.

Dating back to the Grand Opening, FLUXX has been patiently waiting for the perfect time to launch a weather-centric theme. While Mysterium took themed choreography to the next level, Chilled is setting a new standard for transformative theme décor. Think the dance floor-filling Cryogen Liquid Nitrogen System is fun? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet! FLUXX is bringing in real snow machines and a host of cutting-edge technology to quite literally simulate a snow storm inside the club. With snowflakes surrounding you, it’s time to “explore the pole”...

FLUXX boasts a new, massive ice installation behind the main bar, while faux icebergs, a giant ice arch and dazzling crystal sculptures are positioned throughout the club. Making the Winter Wonderland come to life are, of course, FLUXX’s gorgeous go-go dancers and bottle service ladies. The FLUXX women will be clad in glittery-white ensembles complete with cute ‘n’ furry hoodies and earmuffs; while the FLUXX men keep it low-key in warm flannel get-ups and Davy Crockett hats. It’s safe to say Chilled unleashes a brand new side of FLUXX, and of San Diego, that we’ve never seen before.

The weather forecast predicts San Diego’s very first extreme snow storm to arrive on Black Friday, November 26th with a launch party featuring DJ Cobra with Rico DeLargo live on the trumpet and an opening set by DJ Theron. The Winter Wonderland weekend continues with resident DJ Sid Vicious and an opening set by DJ Mac Luv on Saturday, November 27th.
