Fresh Vibe Tuesdays Alive at Anthology

Anthology’s Fresh Vibe Tuesday event series is one of the best kept secrets in town. Every Tuesday starting at 7:30pm, Anthology’s award-winning nine member jazz house band performs live for an incredible cover of $5. More Fresh Vibe thrills on the cheap include rotating new menu items from Executive Chef Todd Allison, most under $20, paired with featured wine and cocktail specials.

Chef Todd Allison joined Little Italy’s famed supper club in July of 2010. This culinary veteran is known for mixing things up in the kitchen with unpredictable flavor combinations (cranberry-pistachio pesto, anyone?) and an ever-evolving seasonal menu that often remains on rhythm with Anthology’s musical lineup.

Jazz enthusiasts know that great musicians often improvise the classics to create new modern melodies. In a venue where music and food run parallel in the spotlight, why should the musicians have all the fun? In fall of 2010, Chef Todd added his own epicurean twist to the Fresh Vibe Tuesday series. Every Tuesday, guests will be treated to new jazzed-up menu innovations.

Although you may love his signature menu items, such as the Mediterranean Octopus Salad with Greek olives, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes and fresh oregano; or Pan Seared Maple Leaf Duck Breast with caramelized kabocha squash, parsnip and port glaze, Chef Todd is using his artistic freedom to reinterpret culinary classics every Tuesday night. The best part? Most all Tuesday menu specials are priced $20 and under. Pair your choice with a signature cocktail, such as The Gambler with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, white peach puree, brown sugar, mint and lemon; or Purple Rain with lavender infused gin, honey, lemon and champagne, and you’re in for the most fun you’ve had on a school night since 1998.

And now for the music: watch Anthology’s award-winning nine member jazz house band performing “Sweet Thing” live in the supper club, and get to know each band member below.
