Gabriel & Dresden Start Vegas Residency at Marquee

There was once a time when EDM fans were forced to press pause on Gabriel & Dresden. Just three years ago, the duo halted in the midst of their success. By 2011 though, the two were eager to hit play again.

Reclaiming their reign, the multi-award winning pair of Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden have announced a residency at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub in Las Vegas starting on February 3rd.

Premiering in true Las Vegas superstardom, the two will share the performance with Jes Brieden (self-proclaimed Queen of Roctronica) for the first time in seven years. It was through the 2003 international pop hit “When the Rush Comes” with Jes that all three propelled their careers in the dance music industry.

Now with over half a dozen #1 Billboard Dance Chart hits to their credit and a decade of producing hits, Gabriel & Dresden are calling Marquee a second home. The February 3rd premier is anticipated to span the best parts of their history remixed and mashed up to their favorite new tracks.

Gabriel & Dresden are by no means new to the EDM scene, originally joining forces in 2001. Within a year, they completed 14 remixes with artists like Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold, Jewel and New Order. After forming the group Motorcycle with Jes, their success doubled. They experienced a steady rise in the DJ Magazine Top 100 poll and proved staying power with the launch of their own Organized Nature label. To date, Gabriel & Dresden have produced 12 original tracks, released one artist album and three mix CDs, delivered 50 remixes, and reached 31 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart 18 times.

Marquee’s welcoming them in at a pivotal point. After the three-year hiatus, the duo went on to tour the world, playing in 17 different counties. They recently released the double-mix CD “Mixed for Feet” which led to a new management and label deal with Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Music.

Fans can expect a steady stream of releases, starting with the new single “No Reservations” in collaboration with Secret Panda Society. While much has changed in the electronic music scene, the Gabriel & Dresden style of feel-good lyrics over progressive house beats will be just as recognizable inside Marquee’s Nightclub and Dayclub.

"We are very excited to finally have somewhere to play consistently in Vegas,” said Gabriel & Dresden in a press release announcing their residency. “We've been coming to this city for many years both as Gabriel & Dresden and as solo artists and there has never been a nightclub like Marquee. It's one of the most beautiful clubs we've seen with production and sound that will leave you breathless.”

Tickets can be purchased at marqueelasvegas.com. Prices are $20 for females and $30 for males. Other upcoming acts at Marquee include Kaskade (Feb. 4), Lema (Feb. 6) and Chuckie (Feb. 10).
