Wow, Halloween in San Diego was insane!
San Diego Halloween celebrations ranged from Halloween Ball at The Prado to Playboy Rubber Party at Hard Rock Hotel, Gotham Halloween at Ivy Hotel, Monster Bash downtown block party, Fangtasia at Stingaree, Black Pearl at Side Bar, Halloween Nightmare at Sé Hotel, and many more crazy events.
With so many parties and so little time, we had quite a busy night...
Our first stop was the VIP Twilight Zone at Monster Bash. This wild block party kicked off at 6pm when the costume clad masses rushed into the VIP scene. Everyone was there; we met Santa Claus and a Chicken, Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, the Little Mermaid and Sebastian, Sponge Bob Square Pimp and a few too many locals rocking naked suits, to name a few. In weirder news, we found Waldo at Monster Bash … with a twist. Michelle Guerin got the real Waldo story for DSD on NBC San Diego.
Next we hit Gotham Halloween at Ivy Hotel. The Ivy’s signature Lipstik dancers dress in sultry themes every weekend, so we knew they wouldn’t disappoint on Halloween night. Da Twins dressed in all white with mysterious masks and sequin trimmed fedoras, a sassy group of female sailors stole the spotlight, the Queen of Hearts supported our troops by sipping cocktails with a hot army girl, and the Lipstik dancers sizzled as the sexed-up Batman cast. Halloween Ball at The Prado was our final destination of the night. This party featured super hot costumes spread throughout multiple levels and private rooms. Pirates and Cops ruled the dance floor, Penguins ran wild, A Clockwork Orange stole the show, and the man-made shark costume was straight-up awesome. View the full album. (pictured)
We couldn’t do Halloween in Gaslamp without making an appearance at the highly anticipated Playboy Rubber Party at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Local promoter guys looked hot in mini thongs and wigs, Superwoman bonded with School Girls, a Playboy Bunny stole Alice’s thunder by posing with a sassy Queen of Hearts, and the Joker set sail aboard the Black Pearl and brought Superman along for the ride. Common, you know us … we obviously didn’t just party on Saturday. DJhere haunted Float and 207 on Friday, while VAVi transformed Typhoon Saloon all night. Check out the Halloweve scene at Hard Rock Hotel and Typhoon Saloon.
