Industry Nights in San Diego: 207 to Bar West and Syrah

It’s no secret that some of the biggest partiers are the ladies and gents behind the bar of your favorite San Diego clubs.

Those of us who work some variation of the 9-5 routine rely on weekends for Tequila-fueled party release (example here). Yep, we know where you were last weekend, there’s no hiding from our sneaky nightlife photographers …

On the flip side, locals who work in the nightlife and dining industries as bartenders, dancers and waitresses are working hard Friday and Saturday nights in San Diego, forcing their party to move to a new time slot. From Bar West in Pacific Beach to Side Bar and 207 in Gaslamp, the best clubs open their doors on traditionally off-nights to give these industry pros a place to party.

Because San Diego is such a young and entertainment-centric city, most “industry” nights gather together a rowdy group of locals, college students, and legit industry workers. We don’t discriminate, we just want to party.

Wednesday Industry Night at Side Bar
The revamped Side Bar just started a new industry night. Expect no cover and crazy drink specials all night, featuring rotating local DJs such as Theron and Devoy, every Wednesday at Side Bar. Get on the guest list. (pictured main)

Wednesday Classiks Industry Night at Syrah
It’s unanimous, Syrah Wine Parlor is the coolest new wine bar in San Diego, and also the new it-spot on Wednesday nights in Gaslamp. Popular with industry folk, Classiks at Syrah every Wednesday night features beats by Craig Smoove. No RSVP required, you just need to find the grass door. (pictured)

Wednesday Industry Night at Thruster’s
TK Productions just launched new industry nights on Wednesdays at Thruster’s in Pacific Beach. These Rock Out parties feature local DJs and exclusive hosted bar benefits with guest list, and cheap drink specials all night. Wednesday is the new Thursday at Thruster’s.

New Industry Night: Our favorite goth-glam Gaslamp club Voyeur announces the launch of all new Industry Wednesdays on August 12, 2009 with a special event hosted by Justin Bobby of MTV’s The Hills. Check out the epic LED light wall embedded with sizzling go-go dancers Wednesdays at Voyeur.

 
Sunday Industry Night at Bar West
It can be proven that every night in every PB bar there is some version of an industry night. But, an official go-to spot on Sundays is Bar West. Many students and locals head to Bar West following day drinking at Sun Daze at Wave House.
