May Star's Fashion Whore is back in San Diego with a new location, an electrifying entertainment lineup, debut fashion shows, super-cheap drinks, and stylish prizes.

The best of Pop Noir and Fashion Whore collide in 2009, introducing a new take on cutting-edge events.

On February 6, 2009 dress in your finest jungle-inspired fashions and discover the new Fashion Whore Electro Dance Party and Indie Fashion Show. DJ Ground Floor will spin a dirty mix of electro beats as haute models showcase the new Spring / Summer 2009 line from Fables By Barrie along with Chocolate Cherries By Isha B. Although the jungle theme isn’t mandatory to party, Frock You Vintage will award the best outfits with a series of $25 gift certificates. 

Style Inspiration: Artist Kenny King chose the jungle theme, derived from visions of the British Safari, Cavemen, Savages, Monkeys and Giraffes. When May Star thinks of jungle fashion, however, her mind wanders to the MGMT “Electric Feel” video. Follow their lead, or make your own meaning and bring it to life.

Liquid Courage: The Ruby Room will serve up $2 well drinks from 10-11pm. Dress up, come early, drink up and rock your jungle look with pride all night long.

On the runway, patrons can expect explosive hair, exotic make-up, and pieces inspired from vintage to Euro, from neon to mutes. The fashion show is not the only element that makes up a Pop Noir event, as the crowd is crucial. May Star, the innovative and restless creature that she is, is constantly changing it up by creating new themes where people can feel free to dress up and really get in touch with their inner, or in this case, outer, fashion whore.
