MayStar presents the last official Fashion Whore event this Friday, February 8, 2008. Known for her unique style and dedication to testing the local limitations on nightlife and fashion, MayStar's Club Fashion Whore has been a staple in San Diego, taking over various venues throughout the greater downtown area every second Friday of the month.
This Friday, MayStar brings a fashion show by Fables by Barrie (formerly Cornfed by Barrie), guest DJs From Vegas and Johnny Rox, Edgartronic, Nate Soixante, live band Syndicate, and an all-night dance party - thanks to extra cheap drinks until 10pm. Matching the sound and sass of the Fashion Whore lineup, the dress-up theme is "Bling" - and the best costumes will win prizes from Flashbacks and Frock You Vintage. Metallic, neon, faux gold, and candy bling are highly recommended.
Upset you just found out about Club Fashion Whore - and now it's ending? Not to worry - MayStar isn't retiring, just revamping her vibe, and embracing the spirit of change and transformation. As 2008 continues to pass us by, stay on the look out for all new parties, new venues, and of course, new fashion-forward designers and themes.
