From the owners of Blind Lady Ale House comes North Park’s newest craft beer joint, playfully dubbed Tiger! Tiger! Tavern. This casual cool brew bar boasts indoor/outdoor seating and a laidback urban vibe set by reclaimed wood décor and chill music.
Tiger! Tiger! serves a simple menu of well-made sandwiches and wood-fired oysters that are prepared on the signature wood burning oven. But what is a great oyster without a pint of beer? Tiger! Tiger! is focused on the craft beer program, and features a high-tech direct draw drought system that keeps the stainless steel lines as short as possible, ensuring pure, clean, flavor-packed brew for you.
The beer list is scribbled across a black chalkboard, and includes everything from local Coronado Orange Avenue Wheat and Ale Smith Speedway Stout, to Russian River IPA, Avery Ellie’s Brown Ale and Bear Republic XP Pale. The craft descriptions and alcohol content are also featured in chalk dust for your educational entertainment. If you’re hanging with buddies and gearing up for a big night, order a 60 oz. pitcher for just $16. Umm, yes please.
Beer buzz aside, I'm obsessed with the logo. This fancy-pants tiger is giving James Bond a run for his money.
Following in Blind Lady’s footsteps, I see Tiger! Tiger! becoming one of San Diego’s top beer bars, as well as a welcoming gathering spot for the North Park community. As of Thursday, October 20th, Tiger! Tiger! is officially in business, open Tuesdays through Sundays from 5pm to midnight. They will soon expand to offer a lunch menu and more fun features throughout the year. For the latest in Tiger! Tiger! updates, check out the company blog.
