The San Diego Film Festival, running September 28th through October 2nd, is more than just a boost of Hollywood glamour into the San Diego mix. Our local restaurants are jumping on board to go back to the basics of a quality date-night: dinner and a movie.
Quality Social, an urban downtown restaurant and bar, presents the Filmmakers Social Party on Thursday, September 29th, a soiree intended to bring the public together with San Diego’s filmmaker and director community. From 5-7pm, a specialized dinner will be served, and the socializing continues on to 9pm. Throughout the meal, projector screens will play the anticipated movie trailers.
The two-course prix-fixe menu offers some favorite and distinct options off of Quality Social’s menu. For the first course, guests can choose from Bacon Wrapped Dates made with Blue Cheese and Walnuts; Homemade Pretzels with Beer Mustard and Cheese Sauce; and Chopped Salad, made with Cucumber, Tomato, Farm Egg, Scallions, Beans, Avocado, Bacon, Goat Cheese, and Sherry Vinaigrette. The second course options include a choice of Steak Fries, featuring an 8-ounce Skirt Steak and Crispy Fries; a Fish Sandwich with Pacific Halibut, Roasted Tomato, Butter Lettuce, Slaw, and a Torta Roll; or Grilled Squash made with Roasted Shallot Vinaigrette, Picholine Olives, and Cotija Cheese. For drinks with dining, the evening includes hosted Stella from 9-10pm.
Entertainment will be provided by Corey Hurley with Colour Vision, from 9pm to close. Tickets are $25 and include tax and gratuity. After September 26th, ticket prices will increase to $30 a ticket. They must be purchased in advance, through Quality Social via PayPal, phone, email or in person. For dinner reservations, please contact Angela at info@qualitysocial.com or 619.501.7675.
