San Diego Chargers Take on the Titans This Sunday

Published : 1/2/2008 by Nick McCann

On Sunday afternoon, January 6, 2008, the San Diego Chargers will play their third playoff game in four years against the Tennessee Titans at Qualcomm Stadium.

This could be the last game of the year, if they lose, or it could be the first playoff victory for San Diego since 1994. The 2007 regular season victory over the Titans was the closest and most physical game played by the Bolts this year, which means their playoff meeting could result in a devastating nightmare for San Diego sports fans.

If we win, we should all celebrate where ever we are by taking the monkey off our back, buying it a ticket, and sending it back to the 1990's. If we lose, we can lie to ourselves and believe that Mark Prior's shoulder will hold up and the Padres will give us what we need: a major championship outside the world of indoor soccer. Regardless of the final score, the collective reaction will definitely be filled with emotion - and we need to stick together, and drink together.

More than any other dive bar in Downtown San Diego, The Local captures the feeling of San Diego. Most people (San Diegans included) consider this town to be the finest in America. While we are definitely up there, we are more appropriately described as America's Most Comfortable City, and this is precisely what The Local understands.

Like a great sports team, The Local is competitive about its happy hour deals. They don't just think they are the best, they know they are the best. They are so serious about it that they are adamantly opposed to drink specials; it's just cheap food and drink all night long - every night. Thursday theme features $3 Jager shots, bottles, drafts, and wells. There's no cover and there are screens all over.
