San Diego Football Game Day Specials

The NFL is officially back in business! With the lockout lifted just in time for preseason play, we San Diegans can breathe a sigh of relief and prepare for fall fun. Whether you are a diehard Chargers fan or just a fun loving socialite, Sundays around San Diego are about to heat up as the weather chills out.

If you can’t make it out to Qualcomm Stadium to catch the games live, don’t spend another Sunday home on the couch, glued to the television while petting your dog, Bolt.  There are plenty of hot spots around town to watch the game, make new friends, and enjoy awesome food and drink specials.  Let’s take an insider’s look at the “it” places to take part in 2011 Football Game Day Specials.

Thruster’s Lounge in Pacific Beach

If the Seattle Seahawks or Oregon State Beavers are your go-to team, make sure you check out Thruster’s in the heart of Pacific Beach. Thruster’s is a top viewing location for the 2011 season and has plenty of food and drink specials to get you through the games. On Saturdays and Sundays they will feature $2 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas until 7pm along with other special discounts during the games. Don’t forget Monday night football, during which Thruster’s will offer $1.50 drafts all night long.

Lumberyard Tavern & Grill in Encinitas

With outstanding food and a chill vibe, this Encinitas hot spot off the 101 is a great place to bring a group and watch the game. Specials include $3 Coors Light drafts for every game, and the Monday Night Football specials are tough to beat: $0.50 wings or just $10 gets you a burger, fries and Coors Light draft. Along with 12 flat screen HD TV’s and a dog friendly patio, the first 100 customers are entered to win an NFL Jersey on Mondays.

Tilted Kilt in Mission Valley

Football season celebrations are underway at Tilted Kilt, with early morning breakfast, Bloody Mary and Mimosa Specials offered on game-day Saturdays and Sundays. Experience the Scottish flair for NFL Sunday and Monday Night Football Bud/Bud Light Specials. College football Saturdays offer up Miller/Miller Light and Coors/Coors Light specials, while Thursday Night Football gives way to Miller/Miller Light specials. Every day at Tilted Kilt offers a Tailgate menu, taking care of hunger pains with soft baked pretzels, BBQ beef sliders, Chicken Philly Cheesesteak, and the Hot Ham & Cheese Sandwich.

Sneak Joint is a true speakeasy that preaches local lifestyle. During the Kegs & Eggs Sunday Football Brunch, sip bottomless breakfast cocktails and hit up the made-to-order buffet as many times as you can handle from 7am – 2pm for $24.95 per person. Grab a seat with your crew and make yourself comfortable. Kegs & Eggs is an all-day event.

Cabo Cantina in Pacific Beach

Say hello to the ultimate San Diego Chargers bar. Chargers fans pack into Cabo Cantina every weekend to enjoy $9.95 bottomless Mimosas from open to 3pm. On Monday nights, take advantage of their all you can eat sliders for just $4.95.

East Village Tavern & Bowl in East Village

How can you go wrong with over 50 HD flat screens showing EVERY sports channel? Take in your favorite game with $4 Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, $12 pitchers of Bud Light, and $5 Bolt Blasters from 9am-9pm on Sundays.

Seau’s in Mission Valley

With over 60 HD flat screens and a 12x14 foot projection screen, Seau’s is the largest sports restaurant in San Diego. Celebrate NFL Sundays with a slew of specials, including $3 Coronas, Mimosas, and Screwdrivers and half off all pizzas.

The BeachWood in Pacific Beach

Downstairs you can check out 15 HD TV’s and three projection screens filled with everything from College Game Day to the NFL Sunday Ticket. Upstairs, check out their ocean view rooftop lounge where guests can mingle while taking in the sweet sea breeze. On Sundays they boast a $25 all you can eat and drink mimosa brunch, or go for the $3 Coors Lights and Mimosas from 9am-2pm.  On Monday nights, the action takes place from 4pm-close with $2 chicken, pork, and mahi tacos,  $3 Dos XX drafts, and $4 El Jimador shots and margaritas.

Gaslamp Tavern in Downtown

Watch your favorite games while enjoying $3 Bud Drafts, $3 Jager Shots, $4 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas, and $5 Blasters on Saturdays until 6pm and Sundays from open to close. On Monday nights, they have $3 pints and $12 pitchers of Coors Light and $5 Cazadores Reposado Tequila from 6pm to close.

La Jolla Brew House in La Jolla
