The height of the 2007 San Diego wildfire tragedy is upon us. Over a half million residents have evacuated, and hundreds of firefighters have been on the front line for over three days straight. San Diego bars, clubs, and nightlife venues are taking initiative and doing their part to support fire relief for victims of the San Diego fires. The Fleetwood hosts benefit for heroic firefighters
On October 23, four heroic firefighters were seriously injured while trying to save a father and his 15-year-old son from the Harris fire. The four firefighters and the son, Richard, remain hospitalized. Thomas Varshack, Richard's father, tragically did not survive.
San Diego’s Fleetwood bar and restaurant is hosting a benefit on Thursday, October 25, 2007, with a portion of the proceeds going to the families California Fire Engine #3387 and the Varshock family.
Beginning at 4pm, The Fleetwood will be serving a three-course dinner for $30.00 and offering drink specials all night long. A Red Cross representative will be on hand accepting donations of non-perishable items, blankets, and clothing for evacuees. There will also be a donation box available for those wishing to make further monetary contributions.

SIN San Diego to accept donations for firestorm victims
SIN Nightclub is taking action by hosting a fire relief event Oct. 25th. Guests can make donations in the form of cash or checks to the Red Cross Relief Fund. There will be a hosted bar from 9-10p.m. for those on the guestlist and house DJ's going all night long. There's no cover before 10p.m. with the dress code is in effect (no hats, shorts, or jerseys).

Music Trivia Night at the Whistle Stop Bar
Thursday, October 25, 2007 Adam Gimble's Pop Music Trivia quiz night at the Whistle Stop Bar will be donating a portion of the proceeds towards victims of the fires. The fun starts at 9pm, with prizes and bragging rights going to the winners.
The Whistle Stop Bar is located in the South Park neighborhood at 30th and Juniper Streets.
Imperfekshun Magazine and Blazin' 98.9 present a benefit concert for fire victims
Imperfekshun Magazine and Blazin' 98.9 radio have teamed up for a San Diego fire victims benefit concert on November 4, 2007 at the San Diego House of Blues. All proceeds will be donated to the San Diego Fire Rescue Department.
Enjoy performances by Crooked 1, Lil Uno, Lynproof, Bloodstone, and more while helping out a great cause. Tickets are $20 and the doors open at 7pm.

San Diego Firestorm Benefit Concert at The Casbah
The Local Pyle's Anti-Monday League presents a benefit concert at the Casbah on November 19, 2007, with all proceeds donated to those affected by the fires. The $6 cover buys you performances from the best of San Diego's local music scene including Hollywood Begs, Firethorn, Nautical Disaster, and KZO Rock. 21+ only, sorry kiddies.
