Walking block by block through the Gaslamp, locals will hear a variety of DJ-spun dance and lounge beats weaving through the city airwaves. Clubs spit dance beats, lounges allure with ambient rhythms and select venues chant live music from local bands and international touring acts. Few are the times when genres merge to create a new sound under the Gaslamp lights.

Side Bar is heating up the end of summer with an interactive music showcase every Friday and Saturday night, featuring a live performance by a local artist followed by club beats by San Diego’s favorite DJs. Each week the lineup changes, but the vision remains the same.

Before the turntables comes the guitar…

Side Bar Live hits the chic club every Friday and Saturday from 7-9pm putting local musicians in the spotlight, followed by DJs pushing high energy dance tracks. Side Bar embraced its own genre this August with sessions by local artists Allegra Barley and Tori Roze preceding huge club nights with beats by Scooter and Mikey Beats. These local favorites will rotate through the remainder of summer, also leaving space for new acts to grace the stage.

How Side Bar Live works…
Head to Side Bar on Friday or Saturday at 7pm for a free music showcase from an up-and-coming local artist. Order some Happy Hour food and drink specials and kick back while you usher in the weekend to a unique local soundtrack. As soon as the clock strikes 9pm, the guitars will fade into the distance and the turntables will transform Side Bar into one of the hottest clubs in San Diego with the biggest DJs in the local scene.
