The Poolside Dive-In at The Pearl Hotel in Point Loma

Posted On : 10/5/2007 by Craig Slike

Newsflash, folks – the old Sportsman’s Lodge in Point Loma (the one with the giant “Motel” sign out front) has been revamped into the Pearl Hotel: the bleeding hip, vintage-modern styled, coolest luxury boutique hotel in Point Loma.

For those in the know, this is old news. But what you might not know is the Pearl is also bringing back Dive-In Movie Theater - Wednesday nights, poolside.

The Pearl's vintage, oyster-shell saltwater swimming pool is surrounded by poolside cabanas and features a ten foot projection screen. Every Wednesday evening, the Pearl is using this screen to bring you some of the coolest movies of all time. It seems like an excellent pairing of setting and screening.

All movies start at 8pm. Drinks and bites are available, making the Pearl the perfect locale to chill poolside while sipping on a dirty martini and seeping vintage hip all over your thrift store couture.
