The Tap Room is one of the youngest members of the Pacific Beach bar scene. Opened by two twenty-three-year-old twin brothers from North County in January of 2007, this brand-new bar is surprisingly mature in both concept and design. Along with rowdy twenty-somethings, The Tap Room is also home to families, local beer lovers, and dedicated San Diego Padres and Charger fans of all ages.
A sleek chrome and glass interior separates The Tap Room from its lackluster Garnet neighbors. But what really makes this bar stand out is 6-tier beer tower with 32 local breweries on tap. Featured local celebrities include specialty brews by Karl Strauss, Pizza Port, Stone, Ballast Point, Ale Smith, Coronado Brewing Co., and Green Flash. If you’re looking for a watered-down domestic, keep hiking down the Garnet bar-crawl.
The Tap Room also serves up unique pizzas, sub sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Sit back in a black leather booth, pair your meatball sub with a specialty “Carlsbad Chronic” brew, cheer for the Padres on a brand new flat screen, and enjoy a day in life of San Diego.
