THREAD Pop Up Thursdays Re-Style Ivy Nightclub

All DiscoverSD Insiders know that we are undeniably obsessed with the San Diego THREAD Show. But, I’ll be first to admit that it’s really a love-hate relationship. 

A few times a year THREAD comes to my city and completely rocks my world with brand new hand-made clothing and accessories from the hottest indie designers on the West Coast. But then, THREAD leaves me high and dry for a few months at a time. It is a devastating loss.

Finally, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, thanks to Ivy Entertainment at the Andaz Hotel. Fellow THREAD lovers who are still coping with the pain should join me in celebration of new stylish and festive Thursday nights at Ivy Nightclub.

The THREAD Pop-Up Series has taken over Thursday at Ivy Nightclub to give local party-goers a chance to scope indie fashions and shop for must-have holiday gifts. This stylish series started on Thursday, November 11th and continues on for three more consecutive Thursdays, with the exception of Thanksgiving. Each week the event will feature a mini fashion show emcee’d by local stylist Silvia Hermanny, showcasing looks from a women’s line, a men’s line, and a jewelry line, while Ivy Wine Bar is transformed into a pop-up shop for those designers. And because nothing complements a new outfit like a new hair ‘do, Say Lula Salon will also have an on-site pop-up shop where models and attendees will be styled. 

Give Back in Style: While you enjoy the many perks that come with being a young and fabulous partier in downtown San Diego, why not give back to those who are less fortunate? Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots and receive complimentary admission in return!
