The San Diego Association of REALTORS (SDAR) hosts the Home Expo 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center on May 10 in conjunction with the Building Industry Association of San Diego.

This year’s focus, “Navigating Through Today’s Housing Market,” promises a diverse platform of informative lectures and presentations varying from the practical to the posh elements of the San Diego real estate market.

Home Expo 2008 offers San Diego the first consumer fair that will inform both sellers and buyers on what is happening in the local real estate market. As knowledge is the most powerful tool when buying a home in San Diego, education will play a very large role in the two day Expo. The Home Expo is divided between two days, May 9 and May 10, each with a different angle speaking to a different audience.

On day one, May 9, Mayor Jerry Sanders will speak at the Keynote Lunch, also featuring Real Estate Commissioner Jeff Davi and County Assessor Greg Smith. Day one is open exclusively to real estate professionals and offers such presentations as Professional Standards; What Makes a Top Producer?; Become an “Energywise” Realtor; “How to Succeed in Today’s Market; and more.

Day two, May 10, is the Consumer Fair, packed with exhibits, industry experts and valuable insight on the home buying process and other homeownership topics. A series of real estate experts will give extended seminars and presentations on pressing topics such as Understanding the Market: Should I buy right now or wait?; The Latest Design Trends; Which Loan Option is Best For You?; The Advantages and Costs of Going Green; and more.
