One of the fastest growing grocery chains is making its way north up the San Diego coast line to Encinitas. Whole Foods Market is scheduled to open its doors in the summer of 2009.
As part of the newly planned mixed use retail and residential development, Pacific Station, this multi-million dollar project is sure to bring the best to downtown Encinitas.
With plans for a Coach brand store, a coffee shop, and various other retailers, it's no wonder this is projected to be one of the most influential development projects in Encinitas yet. Though, no retail contracts have been signed beyond Whole Foods Grocer.
Whole Foods will be the largest retailer with 25,000 square feet allotted to the grocer. Located on Highway 101 in Encinitas, this downtown development will also cater to prospect residents with something for every buyer, such as studios to town homes available for purchase. Estimated costs of these up and coming residences vary greatly by set up and square footage, but range from the mid $400's to the mid $800's.
Current residents can rest easier knowing that traffic lights will be installed to accommodate the additional traffic to the area. Also, an entire floor of underground parking will be solely reserved for customer use while shopping. Additionally, residents will have secured reserved parking.
Groundbreaking is scheduled for spring 2008 with the new retail development projected to be completed in about 16 months. Hoping to present a more diverse array of retail opportunities the projects developers still have several spaces left to fill.
