With so many revered restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter, it’s difficult to choose a single spot for your next meal. Luckily, now you don’t have to! Taste of the Gaslamp is back on June 18 & 19 from 1 to 4pm, giving guests an opportunity to sample signature dishes from over 45 top restaurants.
Upon arrival, ticket-holders will receive a map of the district so that they may enjoy the tastes at their own pace and set their own itinerary. For the 18th year in a row, restaurants will be serving up their house specialties and new eateries will be showcasing what they have to offer. We highly recommend favorites such as Analog Bar, La Puerta, Quarter Kitchen at Andaz, Red Pearl Kitchen, and Nobu at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego (pictured).
Explore, Eat, Drink: As you walk through the historic downtown setting, you will sample delectable appetizers, entrées, desserts, and even cocktails. A Beer Garden has been added this year, to be found at Altitude Sky Lounge atop the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter from 2-5pm each day, hosted by Samuel Adams. The Marriott is also conveniently the location of the event check-in. While some of the venues are strictly 21 and up, most are suitable for all ages. Along your culinary journey, make sure to stop by the newest additions to the Gaslamp: AIRR Supper Club and The Lincoln Room.
Tickets are currently available for $30 per day and include a Taste of Gaslamp recipe book containing secret recipes of all participating restaurants so that guests may recreate the experience at home. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit The Gaslamp Quarter Association in their quest to preserve this historic district. We highly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance at gaslamp.org since this event is known to sell out annually. Note that this event falls on Father’s Day weekend, giving it the chance to be a delicious gift for dad.
