Success in the restaurant industry is not defined solely by culinary skill. In order to create and maintain a prosperous eatery, you must understand and engage the community around you. When Alchemy opened doors two years ago, the restaurant did just that, very well.
Alchemy is the ultimate South Park neighborhood restaurant, but the area’s proud locals aren’t the only ones taking notice. San Diego foodies from all across the county line up outside Alchemy to taste Chef Ricardo Heredia’s sustainable menu, partake in monthly events, such as the popular Dinner With 6 Strangers, and to simply enjoy a craft cocktail and admire rotating local art displays.
Celebrate: At the risk of sounding corny, we’re just so darn proud to celebrate Alchemy’s two year anniversary at the official par-tay this Thursday, March 31st. And don’t you underestimate South Park’s ability to throw a buzz-worthy bash. Alchemy’s anniversary party is a celebration of the restaurant’s roots from past to future, and ticketed guests will enjoy special menu tasters from Chef Heredia, a “Tap Takeover” with Green Flash Brewery, and live performances by Irene Castruita and The New Radicals. $15 at the door gets you two drink tickets and hosted appetizers, in support of Alchemy’s continued success and community involvement. Alchemy's two year anniversary party starts at 7pm and runs 'til midnight. Call 866.513.3224 for more info. Get details here.
You’re not done partying yet; it just so happens to be a huge week for the North and South Park neighborhoods. The monthly event 30th on 30th is going down Wednesday evening, featuring eats, drinks and entertainment from the area’s top businesses around 30th Street, including Alchemy, Urban Solace, The Linkery, West Coast Tavern, URBN and more. In honor of the event, Alchemy is offering a special Vegetarian Tasting Menu inspired by India. Get details here.
About Alchemy: Part restaurant, bar and art gallery, Alchemy radiates with the positive and charming energy of the surrounding South Park community. Alchemy is a highly sustainable, locally owned and operated restaurant that is undoubtedly one of the most sophisticated neighborhood hot spots in all of San Diego. Boasting competitive pricing, rotating local artwork, and a host of charitable programs with elementary schools, Alchemy is loved by locals for the unique atmosphere and delicious culture fare. Some of our favorite menu items, designed by Chef Ricardo Heredia, include Chicken & Dumplings – confit Jidori chicken leg and thigh with baby carrots, pearl onions, and baby celery accompanied by buttermilk dumplings; and The Burger – Estancia Farms grass fed beef, a slice of Mahon cheese, house cured pickles, red leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and onions with Parmesan frites.
