Time and time again, new restaurants in San Diego are praised for innovative décor and stunning ambiance. It's known that scented candles mask cuisine, but what about bright colors and intricate design? To discover what lies beneath restaurant facade, The US Grant hosts the crisp new culinary trend "Dining in the Dark," presented by Opaque.
Join The US Grant for the second coming of flavor on a blank, opaque canvas. It's time for blind diners to experience bold flavor and superior service, without the distractions of contemporary hospitality. No frills, no secrets: just straight-up fine dining, in the dark. This experience is intended to reveal the power of sight and the power of taste. In the blackened historic dining room, guests lose their sight and must rely solely on their taste buds to navigate through the night.
A pitch black ballroom at The US Grant Hotel in Downtown San Diego is home to the latest avant-garde European dining trend, Opaque's Dining in the Dark. A raving success in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and Los Angeles, Opaque now turns off the lights in San Diego, Saturday nights beginning at 7pm.
US Grant Grill's renowned chef, Andreas Neito, elevates the senses with a three-course selection of superb cuisine. Close your eyes and savor the sample poultry menu below:
