Dessert for Breakfast: New Sunday Brunch at Eclipse Chocolat

Remember when you were little kid and your mother told you that you couldn’t have sweet cereals like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Coco Puffs because it was like having dessert for breakfast?  Well luckily you’re an adult now and the times have changed. 

This weekend, Eclipse Chocolat in North Park will unveil their all-new fixed Sunday brunch menu and we gotta say, your tastebuds are in for a real whirlwind treat. Translation: you will no doubt be able to make up for those missed childhood years of saccharine-free breakfasts.

Enjoy delicious comfort food appetizers like the savory Buttermilk Aged Cheddar & Chive Biscuits with house-made orange peel vanilla bean butter; Gouda-Stuffed Sausage with smoked gouda-stuffed pork bratwurst, white chocolate mustard, toast and house-made orange peel vanilla bean butter; Cripsy Rosemary Potatoes with smoked serrano sea salt, chile burnt caramel hollandaise and rosemary; or the Cocoa-Glazed Bacon with three strips of thick-cut cocoa-glazed bacon, toast and orange peel vanilla bean butter. For your entrée, dig into hearty mouthwatering selections such as the Cocoa-Glazed Bacon & Chive Waffle served with chile maple syrup; Buttermilk Biscuits and Gravy with maple pork sausage gravy and white truffle sea salt; or the Spinach & Parmesan Quiche with chive, nutmeg and peppercorn, a flaky puff pastry crust and chile burnt caramel hollandaise. If you like some huevos, then get your hands on the Three & Three Scramble with three eggs and your choice of three tasty selections including chocolate-glazed bacon, smoked gouda sausage, white truffle sea salt and rosemary potato.

Wash your meal down with a signature Bloody Mary, such as the Chipotle-White Peppercorn Bloody Mary or the Ginger-Citrus Bloody Mary made with lemon, orange and ginger. Mary ain’t your thing? Sip on an Orange Peel Vanilla Bean Mimosa, Lavender Vanilla Bean & Lemon Mimosa, or flavorful espressos and lattes. And if you still have room to spare in your stomach after that epic feast, we dare you to nibble on the Azteca Cinnaroll with buttermilk rolls, Vietnamese cinnamon and chile filling, muscvado sugar, cream cheese and caramel frosting; the Grilled Pineapple Fruit Salad with fresh seasonal fruit, grilled pineapple, and milk chocolate curry sauce; or the Blackberry Merlot Shortcake with a white chocolate biscuit, blackberry merlot compote, and vanilla bean crème fraiche.
