El Take It Easy Now Open in North Park

Posted On : 7/16/2010 by Ryan Eisenacher

Since its inception into North Park, the Linkery has become a staple neighborhood restaurant, serving a combination of natural meat products and local fresh greens. And now, the brains behind this acclaimed restaurant introduce a fresh new flavor.

Located amidst the trendy block of pubs, eateries and boutiques on 30th Street, the all-new El Take It Easy promises patrons a delicious “Baja California-meets-Global” small plates dining experience.

“Foremost, El Take It Easy reflects our instincts to cook and craft great food that’s untouched by the industrial food machine,” says El Take owner Jay Porter. “And through service, design and music, there’s definitely an energy we’re anxious to deliver – a marriage of style and substance that inspires people to eat and drink, to lounge and linger.”

The subtle yet sexy interior of the gasto-cantina boasts communal tables and booth seating, a custom-designed bar from recycled and unique materials, and vibrant, large-format paintings by talented Tijuana artist Enrique Ciapara.

The Linkery’s Executive Chef Max Bonacci will also lead El Take It Easy’s kitchen to showcase his signature eclectic farm-to-table cooking. Diners can expect casual, world-ranging comfort cooking complemented by dynamic twists of modern gastronomy. If you’re the inquisitive type when it comes to interesting eats, trust us when we say that you’re guaranteed to find many one-of-a-kind dishes at El Take It Easy.

While the menu changes continually based on local harvests, El Take It Easy will always feature an array of interesting dishes, such as Goat and Egg Mini Tortas, Sweet & Sour Fried Chicken Heads, Rabbit Taquitos, Grilled Beef Cheek, Sauteed Chicken Spleens, and Kentucky Fried Buches.

“Our kitchen won’t be the retiring kind,” says Porter. “We’re in the perfect neighborhood to create and serve in a big and bold way every night.”

Whether you’re coming in for a late-night bite or simply want to throw back a few Micheladas with friends, El Take It Easy is the new North Park hot-spot where laidback ambience, superior service and flavorful fare all come together as one. El Take It Easy is open daily with dinner service from 6 pm to 10 pm. For additional information on current menu options and cocktails, please visit eltakeiteasy.com
