Enoteca Style in Little Italy

Posted On : 11/20/2007 by Casey Lo

Enoteca Style - the novel, Italian inspired wine bar created by MaryJo Testa and Scott Thomas, owners of sophisticated salad joint Salad Style, opens December 1, 2007.

Located in (surprise surprise) Little Italy, on 1445 India Street, Enoteca will offer wine from Italian imports as well as local selections at either the indoor bar or outdoor patio. Cheese to complement the wine is available, and for those feeling a little more peckish, an original array of freshly pressed panini sandwiches will also be on the menu. Needless to say, sister San Diego restaurant Salad Style's extremely popular gourmet salads will also be featured.

Salad Style - San Diego's only "fast food" gourmet salad shoppe aims to "restore your body" with the help of over a dozen Italian all-organic salad designs. The delicate salad arrangements are made minutes within ordering, and offer such eclectic ingredients as Moroccan couscous and Cremini mushrooms, to achieve a robust flavor without sacrificing the added values of health and nutrient. Soup is also available and prepared in house.

Both Salad and Enoteca Styles cater to busy professionals and urbanites, offering the opportunity to grab a healthy meal while working, or unwind with a glass of champagne at the end of the day.

Don't pass up on this gem!

What an excellent restaurant! The service was impressive and the food was rustic with a flair for new cuisine. I would recommend to any of my friends and would not hesitate to go for a special birthday or first date. -Stephen

Great food, better drinks : )

If your looking for a relaxing low-key night out...I'd certainly recommend this place. Dimly lit wine/beer bar (best of both worlds) with great food. As well it's not yet a popular spot so you don't have to fight for a spot at the bar or a booth (mind you I say yet as it's new). They again have great food, but I was more impressed with the selection of beers (namely Young's Double Chocolate Stout, which the only place I've seen it recently, Tap or can, is YardHouse).
