Live Jazz Thursdays with David Patrone Trio at The MerK

The MerK introduces new Live Jazz Thursdays every week from 7-10pm.

The classic dinner and show duo is back with live jazz, blues and swing for diners and drinkers at The MerK. Every Thursday The David Patrone Trio will serenade the chic Italian setting, enabling guests to relax and soak in great beats alongside signature Italian delicacies. 

The Keating Hotel is the epitome of modern Italian elegance, bringing a signature European twist to the San Diego hospitality scene. In early 2009 we met The MerK – the then-new restaurant at the Keating that is now a dining staple in the Gaslamp Quarter. The MerK offers two stories of luxury dining with bold brick walls, stark black and red décor, and sleek glass accents that add a sophisticated element to your dining experience. 

We hope you’re hungry because The MerK serves up a variety of rustic Italian dishes infused with a cool, California twist. Signature dishes include:

The Keating Salad: Spring greens tossed with balsamic dressing and gorgonzola, roasted peppers and onions, sprinkled with pine nuts and topped with grilled chicken
Carne Pizza: Prosciutto, capicolla, sausage, pepperoni
Chicken Feta: Lightly crusted breast filled with feta, spinach, mushroom, basil and sundried tomato
Pesto Crusted Salmon: With asparagus and lemon butter sauce
Rib Eye Gorgonzola: Charbroiled rib eye sprinkled with gorgonzola and herbs

The wine collection carefully compliments Chef Brian Rutherford’s culinary creations, featuring only boutique domestic and Italian vineyards, with selections focused on impressive regions and not over-rated brands, including the new Pininfarina collection.
