Eat This: Pancake Burrito at Lucha Libre

It's the home of late-night horchata and TJ hot dogs plus mind-numbingly long mid-day waits for adobado tacos (marinated pork).

 

And the Lucha Libre taco shop is for anyone who takes wild delight in Mexican wrestler kitsch.

 

But adjust your clocks and quests for hangover cures, because the Mission Hills spot has just entered the breakfast ring.

 

For the past month, from 8 to 11 a.m. daily, Lucha Libre has done 12 different early eats--from quesadillas to breakfast burritos.

 

It’s the $6.85 pancake burrito that'll probably have you bursting through your heavyweight belt, though--It's a pancake in an armlock with homestyle potatoes, chorizo, ham, bacon, bell peppers and eggs.

 

Right now their website doesn’t reflect this new development/time for morning-after-binge-drinking meals. We learned Lucha Libre was doing breakfast from the taco fans at Thrillist.com.
