We've all been to (and raved over) wine tasting dinners at our favorite San Diego restaurants. But this week, Quarter Kitchen at the Ivy Hotel steps the pairing prestige up a notch with an innovative new twist on the traditional tasting menu.
On Tuesday, July 29, Quarter Kitchen hosts a four-course Martini Dinner, prepared by Executive Chef Damon Gordon, enhanced with fresh summertime Grey Goose infusions.
The Martini Dinner starts with a welcome reception and tini-kick-off featuring Grey Goose Pear Flower Martinis at 6pm, to be followed by a lavish dinner beginning at 6:30pm. Damon Gordon's four courses are sure to please every palate - especially after a little pear flower seduction.
Guests will first taste Chilled Gazpacho Soup with Avocado Mousse and Smoked Olive Oil with a Corzo Silver Lemon Basil Martini; then Kobe Beef Carpaccio with Arugula, Crispy Shallots and Parmesan Cheese with a Basil Ginger Martini; followed by a Roasted Sea Bass with Wilted Local Sorrel and Caviar and Bacardi Limon Mojito-Tini; and a main course of Grilled Lamb Medallions with Fava Bean Puree and Grey Goose Pom-Tini; finished with a rich Molten Lava Chocolate Cake with Pomegranate and Vanilla Ice Cream served with a Bacardi Select Cocktail.
The Martini Dinner is $90 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 619.814.2000. For further information about Damon Gordon's Quarter Kitchen at the Ivy Hotel, get the details here.
