Mezzanine Moments at Stingaree

Published : 6/22/2007 by Michelle Guerin

Although Stingaree is most religiously acclaimed for swank VIP set-up, celebrity guest DJs, and conscious extravagance, let’s take a walk across the Mezzanine Bridge and give Stingaree’s romantic restaurant a well-deserved moment in the spotlight.

Stingaree’s delectable dinner menu features a hybrid of cuisine styles. With international influences and San Diego derived produce, Executive Chef Antonio Fircia excels in culinary aesthetic and taste.

Mezzi beginnings boast a “Menage a Trois,” a risqué combination of calamari, scallops, and prawns with sherry and chili aioli. For the main course, try Fircia’s specialty Steak Frites, Australian Wagyu flat iron steak with truffle parmesean fries and peppercorn demi-glace. Dessert at Stingaree? Bring on the wine, please.

Wine after Dark
is Stingaree’s refined twist on bottle service. For restaurant patrons, wine service is offered in plush private booths throughout the dining room. Once you reserve the table, it’s yours for the rest of the night. Not planning on staying past last bite? Review these behind-the-scenes restaurant secrets and re-think your evening.

Tuesday: Half price wine night, for all bottles under $200.

Wednesday: Half price martini night.

Thursday: Live jazz music.

Friday: Complimentary nightclub admission with dinner.

Saturday: Complimentary nightclub admission with dinner.

Sunday: Supper Sunday dinner specials, a 3-course meal for $30.

Pick and choose

Dine on a Thursday with all-night wine bottle service to complement live jazz entertainment.

Dine on a Saturday with all-night wine bottle service and the safety-option to venture into the club and return to the comfort of your booth for a glass of wine at any time.

Not a wine weekend?

Escape to Pearadise, Grey Goose La Poire, Disaronno Amaretto, lemonade, and sour trim topped with a slice of pear.

Can’t wait for a fashionably-late dinner?

Stingaree’s happy hour menu awards early birds with delicious treats at great prices. Try the “Serious” mac-n-cheese fonduta with macaroni, Duroc bacon, Gruyere, and Appenzellar. Or the mini Kobe beef burger “Sliders” with truffle aoil. No matter what you choose— $7 across the chart.

Happy Hour: Tuesday—Friday 6-7pm

Although an ultra-glam evening at Stingaree’s nightclub and rooftop lounge is an upscale staple to San Diego nightlife, get creative with your club and head in early for happy hour, dinner, wine service, cocktails, and nightlife specials.
