With the sunny weather and lengthy days fast-approaching, Del Mar Plaza has presented us with not one, but three tasty new restaurants for summer.

The three new Del Mar restaurants – Sunset Bar and Grill, Shibashi Izakaya and Rumi Café – have expanded the Plaza’s foodie soiree to add an extra ounce of zest to the already delectable selection of savory choices.

Offering both early morning and evening hours, Rumi Café serves up coffee, teas and pastries along with lunch and light dinner fare. From fresh salads and sandwiches to ice cream and smoothies, the Café is an ideal gathering spot for those simply wanting to savor a cup of tea or grab a quick bite while enjoying the ocean breeze.

For the San Diego sushi lovers, Shimbashi Izakaya offers diners tasty Japanese tapas, unique dinner entrees and an extensive sake bar. Whether you are looking for a spot to kick back and relax after work or you want to enjoy tasty cultured cuisine, Shimbashi Izakaya provides an Asian-infused dining experience with a seasonal changing dinner menu, pairings with sake and sake tastings. To complement the restaurant’s tapas and dinner entrees, Shimbashi Izakaya also offers eight different kinds of sake as well as Japanese ales and wine.

Sunset Bar & Grill is a casual, yet upbeat dining venue where you can get a flavorsome meal at an affordable price.
