New Spring Menu at Pacifica Del Mar

Posted On : 3/23/2011 by Kseniya Bublikova

When in search of mouth-watering seafood and wishing for a bit of adventure, head North West to Pacifica Del Mar. This classic restaurant is located at the top of Del Mar Plaza, which ensures the stunning coastal views are simply incomparable. Pacifica Del Mar is known by locals as a perfect place to unwind and watch the sunset while dining on fresh seafood or quality steaks.

With the start of spring upon us, Executive Chef Evan Cruz has prepared an all-new menu of delectable spring eats for the patrons of Pacifica Del Mar. One of the tastiest new additions to the appetizer menu is the Seafood Risotto, an enticing dish made of bay scallops, rock shrimp, and oven-dried tomatoes.  The Thai Grilled Tiger Shrimp, served with a side of green papaya salad topped with minted Thai vinaigrette, is another new way to start off a perfect meal.

Cruz has added two new options for lovers of soups and salads. The Frisee and Baby Spinach Salad comes topped with glazed pearl onions and goat cheese, with light champagne bacon vin as a finishing touch. The Heirloom Lentil Soup boasts san marzano tomatoes, accompanied by a goat cheese puff. The menu includes several new Crudo dishes as well. Crudo combines raw fish with olive oil and citrus juice for a melt-in-your-mouth culinary treat. The Ahi Tuna Tartare is now being served, as well as Japanese Hamachi and Local Halibut. There’s no better atmosphere than the coastal ambiance of Pacifica Del Mar to enjoy the finest of raw seafood this spring season.

While starters are enticing, the real curiosity lies in what Executive Chef Even Cruz has chosen to add to the entrée list. By putting intriguing twists upon beloved classics, Cruz has formed a spring menu that all are sure to enjoy. The Cast Iron Seared Barramundi explodes with taste and is accompanied by caramelized red onion tapenade, charred leeks, and creamy polenta. The Seared Mahi Mahi is served with crawfish etouffee, braised kale, and hush puppies.  Other additions include Seared Atlantic Sea Scallops, Grilled Swordfish, House Cured Ribeye, Grilled Filet Mignon, and Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli.

The new spring menu doesn’t stop at food, as a new cocktail has been added as well. Come in and try the Pineapple-Jalapeno Martini: made of compressed pineapple vodka, muddled jalapeno, and mango syrup. If that’s too adventurous for you, rest assured as Pacifica Del Mar also offers a variety of over 75 of the finest vodka’s from all around the globe.

Pacifica at the Del Mar Plaza is open for dinner Mon-Fri from 5pm till close and Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm till close. For reservations and more information please visit Pacifica Del Mar.
