The Cohn Restaurant Group is the umbrella powerhouse behind some of the most popular and distinctive restaurants in San Diego, including Indigo Grill in Little Italy.
The New Western Fusion menu is accented by Indian and Mexican spices that hail from South of the Border all the way to Alaska. The result is an exotic adventure for the senses wrapped in every bite. Executive Chef Deborah Scott, who once won two awards in cooking school for creating an original recipe using only a brown shopping bag of unrelated food items, emphasizes and guarantees excellence in creativity, composition, and presentation.
Indigo Grill décor parallels Deborah Scott's culinary palate without overwhelming the dining experience. The warm tones and natural, primitive artistry evokes western influence, while the refined symmetry ensures a clear sense of style that echoes the menu's focused direction.
The appetizers, or "Beginnings," include the Mezcal Smoked Salmon Bruschetta, Smoked Duck Nachos, and Oven Roasted Mussels and Clams. Dinner entrees, which range in price from $18-32 and are listed on the menu as the "Sunset Offerings," include a variety of exotic Southwestern and Native American-influenced selections such as Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Pecan-Crusted Rainbow Trout, and Woodstone Roasted Free Range Chicken.
Continually praised by all Indigo enthusiasts is the vegetarian-friendly dish Good Things Growing, which consists of Indian corn pudding, baked whole butternut squash, caramelized plantain, honey roasted garlic, flatbread, and Bar-B-Que marinated tofu with mole negro. Dinner is served nightly from 5 p.m.

Insider Tips: Parking on India Street can, at times, be impossible. We recommend parking near the harbor and taking advantage of a quaint stroll at sunset, or opting for Indigo Grill valet parking for $7; available from Thursday to Saturday. Also recommended is enjoying a meal at Indigo Grill after exploring the 2008 ArtWalk that paints the community of Little Italy throughout April.
