The Porto Vista Hotel is shaking up its cocktail and brunch menus at The Glass Door with all-new signature drinks and culinary creations. Inspired by ingredients from local farms, the Little Italy Mercato and shops in the hotel’s neighborhood, the unique menu concepts embody the essence of fresh fall flavors.
“We’ve really enjoyed crafting this menu by drawing inspiration from the wonderfully diverse resources found right here in Little Italy,” said Christian Cardnuto, Director of Food and Beverage. “The Glass Door is proud to support our neighbors and provide our guests with genuine local flavors. We want to keep it fresh and will continually mix up our menu as we discover new and exciting ingredients from the Mercato and Little Italy neighborhood.”
The Glass Door’s revamped cocktails feature premium ingredients, specialty spirits and freshly squeezed juices to create house crafted blends. Guest can enjoy fragrant and delicious libations including a sugar and spice Vanillapeno Margarito with Fortaleza Blanco, jalapeno, agave, and vanilla; a refreshing Blueberry Press withAbsolut Berri-Acai, ginger and champagne; a sweet Blackberry Lick withblackberry, amaretto, mint and champagne; and bursting with complex flavors, the Ginger-Pear Smash mixed withAbsolut Pears, berry, lemon and ginger.
Guests can also enjoy the Glass Door’s new brunch menu, offered Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am-3 pm. Dig into savory fare such as the Potato-Rosemary Fritatta with Romesco Sauce and Warm Applewood Bacon Spinach Salad; the Cinnamon Challah French Toast with Star Anise Honey and Dried Stone Fruit Compote; the Croque Tartiflette, a grilled French sandwich with Black Forest Ham, Potato and Reblochon Cheese with Cavillon Melon and Basil; and the all-new Buttermilk Biscuits & Gravy dish made with Little Italy’s renowned “Pete’s” Italian sausage.
For a sprightly morning pick-me-up, sunrise cocktails will also be offered with brunch entrees including the Man-Mosa with Grand Mariner, sparkling wine and orange juice on the rocks to kick start your day; the Mercato-Mosa, uniquely crafted every weekend with inspiration from the freshest of ingredients from local farms and sparkling wine; the Chocolate Covered Orange mixed with smooth Jameson Irish Whiskey, Cointreau Noir and brown sugar; and This Lil’ Piggy went to Market, a twist on the classic Bloody Mary made with house infused Bacon Vodka sourced from the local farmer’s market with a Chipotle-Pickle Mary Mix.
