Roberto DePhillippi's Serves Up Happy Hour Bar Bites

Something about the chill of the season makes inhaling a hearty steak sound inexplicably reasonable. Okay, maybe it’s a year-round feeling for some of us, but there’s some mathematical increase in the desire for steakhouse comfort food during these fall months. Roberto DePhillippi’s Steak House in Chula Vista is a prized place for their steaks, sauces, wines and waitresses; and now customers can find new daily filling foods on the Happy Hour Bar Bites menu.

The Bar Bites menu ranges in styles of food, verging away from standard steak plates. At affordable prices, guests can find warm treats like the Baked Potato Poppers, served with lemon serrano sauce; Potato Nachos, thin crispy kaenebek potatoes topped with cheese, tomato, scallions, guacamole, sour crème and jalapenos; or a Pulled Pork Sandwich with slow roasted pulled pork served with a honey BBQ sauce. For fancier eats, still available on this menu, try the Mesquite Grilled Octopus tossed in olive oil; Lobster Sausage with the secret blend of herbs and spices; and Garlic Shrimp Tacos served with a corn tortilla. More snack-like bites are also showing up, such as the Olive Plate (pictured); Brusheta and Crostinis, with tomatoes, olives, capers, and onions tossed in balsamic vinegar; or the Cheese Plate served with seasonal fruit. If you like to stick to the basics, the bar menu also offers Cheese Pizza, Prime Rib Pizza, and Shrimp Pizza, and a bowl of Mac and Cheese.

The Bar Bites menu is served during Happy Hour, Monday through Friday, 3pm-7pm at 50% off.
