Stone Flats: Fresh, Fast Flatbread Pizza

Fast food doesn’t always have to equal bad food. The new casual-cool urban eatery Stone Flats in Scripps Ranch offers quality food that is fun, fresh, and fast for health-conscious locals on the go. Fresh, stone-fired pizza, or “flats,” is made quickly without sacrificing quality. Choose from five signature flats created by Executive Chef Andy Johnson, or build your own.  These aren’t your basic cheese and pepperoni pies either.

Just because these flatbread pizzas have less dough doesn’t mean they skimp on taste. Stone Flats lets the toppings to the talking. A few of our favorite signature combinations include the Steak Flat with marinara, goat cheese, arugula, basil and scallions; BLT Flat with marinara and mozzarella, topped with ranch. 

If you want to take the craft into your own hands, choose white or whole wheat flatbread; marinara, white bean or garlic olive oil sauce; mozzarella, low-fat mozz or goat cheese; chicken, steak, pepperoni, sauce or bacon; and your favorite fresh veggies, ranging from red onion and sautéed mushrooms to basil, bell pepper, black olives and more, to create your own personalized flat. Pair your flatbread pizza of choice with a crisp salad, one of their soothing soups (tomato basil or pulled chicken and rice), or a sweet Cinna-Flat dessert and you’ve got yourself one yummy on-the-go meal. 

The best part? All five signature flats are under 500 calories, are wicked low in saturated fats, and have absolutely no trans-fats at all. Stone Flats is dedicated to serving locally grown and all-natural meats and produce. What you get is hormone free and completely natural. The eco-friendly dining environment is also a major plus. The urban loft interior features many recyclables, including chairs made from Coke bottles, and energy efficient lighting and appliances.
